Jennifer and Pryderi

There’s a few places I always love going back to, and Guardswell Farm is definitely one of them. A beautiful venue set in the heart of the Perthshire countryside, it was the perfect setting for Jen & Deri’s fabulous black tie wedding in September. A super stylish day with the most amazing outfits, gorgeous styling and blooms by Feather Grass Florals, and of course a wonderful bunch of folk to top it off! J & D brought so much fun and energy to their celebrations that you couldn’t help but get caught up in the magic of it all, it really was the best day.

Kirsty and Rob

I had the best time capturing Kirsty & Rob’s amazing wedding celebrations at the fabulous Free Company on the outskirts of Edinburgh back in June. I’d been looking forward to their day from the first time we’d chatted, and it exceeded every expectation I had, it was truly magical. There were so many wonderful moments throughout the dat, and it was so lovely seeing K & R and all their family and friends enjoying the glorious weather in the most beautiful setting. I must give Fruit Salad Flowers a mention for creating the most incredible bouquets and floral displays, the colour pops throughout the venue elevated the already fabulous spaces into something super special.

Prudence and Luke

It’s been a wee while since I’ve shared anything on my blog, but what better way to mark my return than Prudence & Luke’s magical wedding at the spectacular Ardverikie House in the Scottish Highlands. The day was full of wonderful moments and oodles of charm and character. From the morning dip in the loch, right through to Luke taking the stage to serenade Prudence at the end of the night, it had it all! I must give a shout out to all the amazing suppliers who made the day even more incredible, you’re all superstars.

Nadine and Andy

On a gorgeous Summer’s day in July I made my way over to the East Coast for Nadine & Andy’s wedding celebrations at my home from home - the always amazing Cambo Estate. I had the most wonderful time hanging out with these two, their sense of fun and beaming smiles really were infectious, and the day was an absolute joy from beginning to end. It was lovely seeing a few industry pals too, with everyone pulling out all the stops to create the most magical occasion.

Kate and Mike

My lovely cousin Kate and her equally lovely partner Mike decided to plan a top secret elopement to the North West Coast of Scotland at the incredible Shieldaig Lodge, and I was so chuffed to be asked along to capture it for them. I was under strict orders to keep it under my hat and not tell any nosey family members, but when they finally broke the news and shared their photos it was so lovely to hear how happy everyone was for them.

The day was full of special moments, and the wonderful personal touches and attention to detail made it even more magical. The morning started in rather energetic fashion with a paddle boarding expedition round the bay, accompanied (begrudgingly!) by Kate’s gorgeous wee dog Leni. After admiring the incredible birds of prey in front of the hotel and warming up with a nice cup of coffee it was time for the main event. Kate & Mike both looked amazing in their fabulous outfits, with Kate going for a simple, but elegant silk dress along with a really cool pair of personalised converse, and Mike, his super smart Royal Marine attire. The ceremony was every bit as perfect as the setting, with wonderful personal vows and Whiskey drinking from the quaich. It was really important from Kate & Mike’s perspective to make the day as personal as possible, so having Russell (a Royal Marine Padre from Arbroath) there to conduct the ceremony made it even more special.

We then spent a lovely afternoon eating cake, chatting and exploring the hills and beaches around Badachro. The perfect end to the most amazing day.

Chloe and Laurens

I was back at one of my all time favourite spots, the Cow Shed in Crail for Chloe & Laurens’ amazing wedding celebrations, and what a day it was!

I’ve loved all the wonderful first looks I’ve shot down at the harbour in Crail, and this one was just as special. Chloe walked down arm in arm with her Mum, and was presented with her gorgeous bouquet by Laurens (a really lovely Dutch tradition which I’d not come across before). After a wander round the harbour for a few photos we headed back up the road for a wonderful, intimate ceremony in the new Roundal at the Cow Shed, a beautiful space which was looking super cosy with the fire lit in the background. A fabulous afternoon of music (provided by the incredible Rusty’s Travelling Piano Bar), food and drinks ensued, with the day topped off with the some top notch speeches and a Pulp Fiction inspired first dance. All in all a magical day with a cracking bunch of folk!

Eleanor and Louis

Eleanor & Louis’ wedding extravaganza in Glasgow’s West End was without a doubt one of my highlights of 2021! I knew as soon as I read their enquiry that the day was going to be amazing, and needless to say it very much lived up to expectations. After the most beautiful ceremony in the magnificent Wellington Church, which was decorated to perfection by Ruby Flowers, we headed back to Louis’ wonderful family home for the most incredible reception. I can’t skip any further without mentioning their fabulous wedding wheels…. I’m not usually one for wedding cars but their Citroën 2cv along with amazing handmade Just Married sign was a total dream! Anyway…back to the reception! After marvelling at the all wonderful artwork and sampling a few Delizique delights, we were treated to some superb speeches, including a hilarious and heartfelt video message all the way from Canada from Louis’ best pal. The day was topped off perfectly with everyone following the piper through Kelvingrove Park down to Stravaigin for dinner, drinks and plenty of partying I’m sure!

Sarah and Matt

It was so lovely being back at one of my favourite old haunts Colstoun House for Sarah & Matt’s gorgeous summer wedding celebrations. Sarah looked stunning in her beautiful Halfpenny dress which worked perfectly alongside the pastel pink bridesmaids dresses and fabulous summery bouquets by the always amazing Feathergrass Florals. I must give an honourable mention to Matt and his groomsmen, who all looked rather dapper in the super sharp suits! After a lovely relaxed morning getting ready and drinking a glass or two of champagne, it was time for the main event, the most wonderful outdoor ceremony on the lawn where I happened to witness one of my all time favourite wedding moments…. Being a huge dog fan I’m always delighted to see a dog charging around on the morning of a wedding day, and I was even happier to hear that Sarah & Matt’s gorgeous Labrador Molly was going be acting as a ring bearer during the ceremony. Molly not only did the perfect job of delivering the rings, but then decided to act as a witness as well, sitting perfectly whilst Sarah & Matt exchanged their vows. It was always going to be hard to top that, but the confetti, champagne, canapés, amazing speeches and packed dance floor that followed came mighty close! This really was the most magical wedding day, thanks so much for inviting me along guys!

Harriet and Adam

This was my first time shooting at the fabulous Errol Park and what a day it was! Harriet & Adam’s wedding celebrations were so full of joy and laughter that it was impossible not to have a huge smile on your face all day long! Despite a rather drizzly start to the day, they decided to brave the elements and opted for an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful corner of the garden conducted by the amazing Gary the Humanist. Drinks, canapés and some hotly contested lawn games in the sunshine followed. It was then over to the wonderful converted stables for a cracking round of speeches, the most delicious wedding feast, and to round things off in true Scottish style, a rabble rousing ceilidh. The day had so many highlights, but capturing Harriet & Adam walking hand in hand underneath a rainbow was pure magic! Needless to say I’m super excited to be back at Errol for a wedding this summer, if it’s anything like this one I’m in for a treat.

Emily and Doug

Emily & Doug’s fabulous wedding day in the heart of Edinburgh was an absolute joy from beginning to end. After the most wonderful ceremony atop Calton Hill overlooking the city, it was time for music, drinks and some pretty epic group photos in the glorious summer sunshine. We then made our way to one of my all time favourite Edinburgh spots - Timberyard to carry on the celebrations. A cracking set of speeches in the courtyard was followed by an amazing five course dinner, with every course looking like a work of art. The day was finished off with a wander round the magical Grassmarket for some photos, then back to Timberyard to dance the night away! This really was the most wonderful day, and being there to capture Emily & Doug having the best time with their lovely family and friends was so special.

Annie and Tom

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to blog Annie & Tom’s incredible Glencoe elopement! With the ever changing rules around weddings Annie & Tom decided to adjust their plans and elope in the Scottish Highlands, and I for one am so happy they did! It’s not often you get a glorious sunny day in the middle of March in Scotland, so I was feeling a wee bit smug on my drive up to Glencoe! After a lovely relaxed morning getting ready followed by a wonderful first look overlooking Cuil Bay, we headed over to Glencoe Lochan - a magical spot in amongst the mountains and pine trees which Annie & Tom had chosen for their ceremony. It’s always such a treat working with Claire The Humanist as I know she’ll pull an amazing ceremony out the bag, and needless to say this was no exception. It was so lovely to hear a wee bit more about Annie & Tom from where they first met to where they are now, and Claire told their story perfectly. After the ceremony we enjoyed a piece of delicious homemade wedding cake and a glass of bubbly, and it was then off to explore Glencoe and take in all the breath taking scenery, which isn’t in short supply believe me! We then made our way back to Cuil Bay where we treated to a spectacular sunset. The perfect end to the most wonderful day.

I must give a couple of shout outs, firstly to Barbara from Wild Flower Workshop for her green fingered wizardry, secondly to Annie & Tom’s gorgeous wee dog Cracker for being ridiculously adorable, and last but by no means least, Annie’s mum, who not only made their delicious wedding cake, but also Annie’s stunning dress!

Ali and Jonny

Ali & Jonny - what an awesome pair! I had the most wonderful time capturing their fabulous wedding celebrations at one of the best venues around - Cambo House. The day was full to the brim with love, fun and laughter. From the epic Abba singalong during the ceremony to the funk and soul party courtesy of Nick Bruce and his Blinding Lights - it had it all! Throw in lots of gorgeous details (Ali’s beautiful Temperley dress and the stunning Myrtle & Bracken blooms in particular), a Dalmatian called Cilla, and a seriously lovely bunch of people, and you’ve got yourself the perfect wedding right there!

Ali & Jonny’s amazing day is also featured on Love My Dress. Click the link to check out their full story.

Tegan and Conrad

My oh my, what a fabulous day this was! Tegan & Conrad travelled all the way from Canberra in Australia to tie the knot in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, and they couldn’t have picked a more magical place than Ballintaggrt Farm. Surrounded by rolling hills and stunning scenery Ballintaggart is a wee slice of Scottish paradise, and the perfect spot for a romantic elopement!

A lovely leisurely morning spent getting ready, along with a couple of glasses of bubbly and some delicious nibbles, was followed by a wonderful, intimate ceremony with the most spectacular views across the hills. The one thing I love about humanist ceremonies is you can personalise your ceremony however you wish. It was so lovely to hear Tegan & Conrad’s story, as well as a couple of lovely readings, which were beautifully read by their equally lovely pals - Lauren and Fazel. The ceremony ended in true Scottish style, with everyone (including me!) having a sip of Whiskey from the Quaich. A Scottish tradition I’m very much in favour of!

After a few snaps in the gorgeous surroundings, we headed down the road to the fabulous Grandtully Hotel for a couple of their signature cocktails. (It’s a times like this I wish I had a driver!) The day was topped off with what I’m sure was an epic feast of culinary delights, prepared by the amazingly talented Ballintaggart kitchen team.

Tegan & Conrad, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wonderful wedding celebrations, I had the best time!

Dani and Etiénne

Dani & Etiénne invited me along to the beautiful Villa Ravano in the heart of the Tuscan countryside to capture their gorgeous wedding celebrations back in September. I had the most amazing weekend hanging out with the two of them and their lovely friends and family, and can honestly say I felt more like a guest than a photographer, everyone was so welcoming and down to earth. Dani & Etiénne’s warmth and sense of fun was evident throughout the whole day, from their wonderful, intimate ceremony right through to the wild, moonlit disco!

This truly was a weekend I’ll never forget, thank you so much for inviting me along guys! x

Anna and Tom

Anna & Tom’s fabulous wedding celebrations in the heart of the Shropshire countryside were an absolute blast from beginning to end! I think you’ll all agree that Anna looked incredible in her stunning Rolling in Roses dress, and I must say Tom scrubbed up rather nicely too!

After a wonderful, heartfelt ceremony in the Town Hall and a few snaps round the lovely streets of Bishop’s Castle, we all made our way over to Norbury Village Hall for the reception. Anna & Tom had worked wonders transforming the space into something quite magical, with beautifully decorated trestle tables stretching the length of hall, and greenery and flowers aplenty!

A cracking set of speeches and epic feast were followed by some hotly contested, aperol spritz fuelled lawn games - my personal favourite being splat the rat (took me right back to my primary school days!). The day was topped off in style with the superb King Brasstard’s (a 7-piece New Orleans brass band) providing the perfect soundtrack to dance the night away!

Thank you so much for inviting me along guys, I had a whale of a time!

Sophie and Kyle

Sophie & Kyle’s amazing wedding in Edinburgh was such a treat to photograph! After the most wonderful ceremony at Summerhall, everyone made their way (beer and prosseco in hand!) across The Meadows to one of my all time favourite Edinburgh spots - The Timberyard, for their fabulous reception! The space was beautifully decorated with incredible DIY creations working perfectly alongside the Timberyard’s minimalist design. A cracking set of speeches (complete with superb props!) was followed by an amazing five course dinner, with every course looking like a work of art! The day was finished off with a wander round the Grassmarket in the evening sunshine, and dancing aplenty! A truly magical day! Thanks for having me along guys!

Kirsty and Rodolpho

Kirsty & Rodolpho’s wedding bonanza at the fabulous Comrie Croft was a real feast for the senses! With Kirsty being an amazing artist and coming from a family of street performers, along with Rodolpho’s Brazilian charm and musical talents I knew I was in for a treat, and they certainly didn’t disappoint! The barn was full of wonderful homemade creations, with my personal favourites being the Frida Kahlo cocktail bar and an enormous puppet called Stella who made a guest appearance in the afternoon! After the most magical ceremony in the woods above the croft conducted by no other than Kirsty’s amazing Dad - Mike, everyone headed back down to the courtyard for cocktails, speeches and plenty of samba vibes! The day was topped off with lots of raucous ceilidh dancing and the most amazing sunset, not a bad way to spend a Monday I must say!
