Mikaela and Mark

I’m finally finding a wee bit of time to share some of the wonderful weddings I shot last year. Here’s a few favourites from Mikaela & Mark’s fabulous celebrations at the incredible Monachyle Mhor tucked away in the hills above Loch Voil. A day full of love, laughter and colour in one of the most magical settings I’ve ever photographed. Big shout out as ever to the insanely talented Flowers Vermilion who created the most amazing bouquet, buttonholes and hanging installations, all of which were bursting with colour and personality.

Hazel and Chelsea

I know I shouldn’t have favourites, but Hazel and Chelsea’s fabulous wedding at Queen’s Park has to be right up there! This was a day so bursting with colour and personality that I had a smile etched on my face from the minute I arrived in the morning. With Chelsea being an incredible artist I knew the bowling club was going to be dressed up to the nines, but it exceeded all my wildest expectations. The gold tinsel draped walls alongside all the magical Flowers Vermilion creations made for the most fabulous backdrop, with the orange chairs completing the perfect bowling club chic look! If you thought the day couldn’t get any better Claire the Humanist was on celebrant duties, and delivered yet another brilliantly heartfelt ceremony, full of laughs and hilarious anecdotes. This was all followed by an afternoon and evening of Pizza, Prosseco and dancing, the perfect end to the best day.

Chloe and Laurens

I was back at one of my all time favourite spots, the Cow Shed in Crail for Chloe & Laurens’ amazing wedding celebrations, and what a day it was!

I’ve loved all the wonderful first looks I’ve shot down at the harbour in Crail, and this one was just as special. Chloe walked down arm in arm with her Mum, and was presented with her gorgeous bouquet by Laurens (a really lovely Dutch tradition which I’d not come across before). After a wander round the harbour for a few photos we headed back up the road for a wonderful, intimate ceremony in the new Roundal at the Cow Shed, a beautiful space which was looking super cosy with the fire lit in the background. A fabulous afternoon of music (provided by the incredible Rusty’s Travelling Piano Bar), food and drinks ensued, with the day topped off with the some top notch speeches and a Pulp Fiction inspired first dance. All in all a magical day with a cracking bunch of folk!

Eleanor and Louis

Eleanor & Louis’ wedding extravaganza in Glasgow’s West End was without a doubt one of my highlights of 2021! I knew as soon as I read their enquiry that the day was going to be amazing, and needless to say it very much lived up to expectations. After the most beautiful ceremony in the magnificent Wellington Church, which was decorated to perfection by Ruby Flowers, we headed back to Louis’ wonderful family home for the most incredible reception. I can’t skip any further without mentioning their fabulous wedding wheels…. I’m not usually one for wedding cars but their Citroën 2cv along with amazing handmade Just Married sign was a total dream! Anyway…back to the reception! After marvelling at the all wonderful artwork and sampling a few Delizique delights, we were treated to some superb speeches, including a hilarious and heartfelt video message all the way from Canada from Louis’ best pal. The day was topped off perfectly with everyone following the piper through Kelvingrove Park down to Stravaigin for dinner, drinks and plenty of partying I’m sure!
