Chandler and Collin

Chandler & Collin, along with all their lovely family and friends, travelled from the US to celebrate at my favourite spot - Cambo Estate on the East Coast of Scotland. This was the most amazing wedding with so many magical moments throughout the day. C & C snuck away to the walled garden in the morning to exchange vows and have a run through their first dance. This was such a lovely moment to capture and really set the tone for the rest of the day. A wonderful ceremony in the library was followed by all my favourite things - champagne, cocktails, speeches, dancing and endless fun and laughter. Shout out to Flowers Vermilion for all their fabulous creations, it’s always such a treat photographing their beautiful florals.

Shot on a mix of Digital and 35mm Kodak Portra 400 Film.

Liza and Ru

It was such a treat being back in Glencoe for Liza & Ru’s magical elopement. Surrounded by their loved ones they tied the knot in amongst the forest of Glencoe Lochan. The ceremony led by Alyson the Humanist was full of wonderful moments and emotion, with tears of joy and hugging aplenty! After confetti and champagne we headed into the hills to explore and take in the majestic scenery, finishing our shoot with a sunset stroll along the beach at Cuil Bay. I must give a big shout out to Barbara aka Wild Flower Workshop, for creating the most stunning bouquet and buttonhole for Liza & Ru, and Liza’s sister Alie for designing and creating her beautiful wedding dress, which I’m sure you’ll all agree she looked amazing in.

Kate and Mike

My lovely cousin Kate and her equally lovely partner Mike decided to plan a top secret elopement to the North West Coast of Scotland at the incredible Shieldaig Lodge, and I was so chuffed to be asked along to capture it for them. I was under strict orders to keep it under my hat and not tell any nosey family members, but when they finally broke the news and shared their photos it was so lovely to hear how happy everyone was for them.

The day was full of special moments, and the wonderful personal touches and attention to detail made it even more magical. The morning started in rather energetic fashion with a paddle boarding expedition round the bay, accompanied (begrudgingly!) by Kate’s gorgeous wee dog Leni. After admiring the incredible birds of prey in front of the hotel and warming up with a nice cup of coffee it was time for the main event. Kate & Mike both looked amazing in their fabulous outfits, with Kate going for a simple, but elegant silk dress along with a really cool pair of personalised converse, and Mike, his super smart Royal Marine attire. The ceremony was every bit as perfect as the setting, with wonderful personal vows and Whiskey drinking from the quaich. It was really important from Kate & Mike’s perspective to make the day as personal as possible, so having Russell (a Royal Marine Padre from Arbroath) there to conduct the ceremony made it even more special.

We then spent a lovely afternoon eating cake, chatting and exploring the hills and beaches around Badachro. The perfect end to the most amazing day.

Emily and Doug

Emily & Doug’s fabulous wedding day in the heart of Edinburgh was an absolute joy from beginning to end. After the most wonderful ceremony atop Calton Hill overlooking the city, it was time for music, drinks and some pretty epic group photos in the glorious summer sunshine. We then made our way to one of my all time favourite Edinburgh spots - Timberyard to carry on the celebrations. A cracking set of speeches in the courtyard was followed by an amazing five course dinner, with every course looking like a work of art. The day was finished off with a wander round the magical Grassmarket for some photos, then back to Timberyard to dance the night away! This really was the most wonderful day, and being there to capture Emily & Doug having the best time with their lovely family and friends was so special.
