spring wedding

Charlotte and Will

A glorious, sunny Spring day in the heart of the Lake District with Charlotte and Will. C & W’s wonderful celebrations at The Barn in the Fells were brimming with colour, charm and personality, with endless highlights throughout the day. A morning dip in Lake Grasmere, incredible flowers and styling by The Floralistas, fabulous outfits - especially Charlotte’s beautiful Prea James dress, a magical ceremony with wonderful music and readings, and a truly magnificent feast by the amazing team from Riley’s Fish Shack, I could really go on and on! This was without a doubt one of my all time favourite weddings, I hope you enjoy looking through the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Juliet and Edward

Juliet & Edward tied the knot at the beautiful Traquair House in the Scottish Borders surrounded by all the closest family and friends. There was so much to love about this day, from Juliet’s amazing vintage wedding dress (which was hand sewn by her lovely Mum), The Beatles singalong during the ceremony, right through to the magical piano led evening reception, it was a day brimming with wonderful moments.

Liza and Ru

It was such a treat being back in Glencoe for Liza & Ru’s magical elopement. Surrounded by their loved ones they tied the knot in amongst the forest of Glencoe Lochan. The ceremony led by Alyson the Humanist was full of wonderful moments and emotion, with tears of joy and hugging aplenty! After confetti and champagne we headed into the hills to explore and take in the majestic scenery, finishing our shoot with a sunset stroll along the beach at Cuil Bay. I must give a big shout out to Barbara aka Wild Flower Workshop, for creating the most stunning bouquet and buttonhole for Liza & Ru, and Liza’s sister Alie for designing and creating her beautiful wedding dress, which I’m sure you’ll all agree she looked amazing in.

Sam and Pat

On a beautiful late Spring day in May Sam & Pat celebrated their marriage with all their nearest and dearest at Sam’s incredible family home in the rolling Ayrshire countryside. I really couldn’t have wished for a more wonderful day to photograph, it really had it all. Glorious weather, amazing styling, lots of dogs, and of course the most important ingredient - lovely people. It was such a treat to work alongside some of my favourite wedding industry pals too (all listed below). I must give a special mention to Di (Myrtle & Bracken) for creating the most incredible floral arrangements, which included gorgeous wild flowers and foliage from the gardens and woods surrounding the house.
